The common theme is the need to maintain communications between organisers/contractors to ensure the event runs smoothly .

Issues

There are some important things to remember when using radio equipment at events and we have highlighted these below.

• Handheld radios are reliable over short distances of up to 3 miles in an open area. In dense building environments this range can be significantly reduced, sometimes down to 20 to 300 meters. We can of course supply repeater systems to overcome these issues, so just ask.
  
• The choice of frequency is important in ensuring the security of communications and reduced interference from other users. Again, just ask our advice.
